Georgia Tech’s prestigious four-year Gold Scholarship is offered annually to the top 2% of first-year students. Recipients are selected based on holistic excellence and potential within the program’s four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Progress, and Service. Approximately 10 to 20 students enroll each year as Gold Scholars.

Up to eight semesters of funding
Georgia residents: a Tuition, Fees, and Books scholarship (valued about $12,500 annually*)
Out-of-State: A Tuition Waiver (valued about $21,000 annually and reduces cost to in-state rate).
Retreats focused on developing scholars as citizens of Georgia Tech and the larger world.
A pre-enrollment Southeast “Tech Trek” offered by Outdoor Recreation Georgia Tech.
Priority housing during your first year.
Access to special speakers, employment opportunities, dinners, and receptions.
A close-knit student community supported by peer mentoring and staff.
Specialized mentoring from professional staff in the Office of Scholar Programs including guidance in applying for prestigious national fellowships.
Mentoring by dedicated professors known as Faculty Guides.
*The package assumes the scholar has received the Zell Miller Scholarship independently from the state of Georgia.
